How to Search the Knowledge Base
Here are some suggestions for getting the best results when
searching the Knowledge Base.
Use the number of the KB entry if you know it
Each entry in the Knowledge Base is assigned a unique
number, such as 16488. If you know the number,
you can go directly to the entry by entering KB16488.
Not all KB entries are visible on the web site
Any entry that contains customer sensitive information
is not posted to the web site.
The internal Robelle Knowledge Base is used for many mundane
transactions such as sending updates to customers who need
a fix or enhancement; these are not posted to the web site.
How to Find My Submissions?
You can't search by your name or your company name,
since those are removed from the web KB entries for privacy.
You will need to search by any words or phrases that appeared
within your submission, or by the KB ref # if you know it.
How Frequently Is This Updated?
The web version of the Knowledge Base is currently updated
once per day at night. If you append a comment to an entry,
it will first go to technical support, who will add it to the
database.
If you don't find your question, ask tech support
If you cannot find any KB entries that match your question,
please feel free to submit a query to Robelle Technical
Support using our Question Submission Form.
Perhaps you need to submit an enhancement request
If you think that Qedit and Suprtool cannot currently do
what you are looking for, certainly ask for an enhancement
using our Enhancement Request Form.
Only use words that are relevant to your query
If you're looking for documents about the Widget2000, don't enter a
query like "Find me all documents about the Widget2000".
ALL the words in your query form part of the search, so queries like the
previous example will find all
documents about finding all documents about the Widget2000, which
may not be exactly what you want.
Case is unimportant
Upper and lower case are treated the same:
QWIN also searches for Qwin and qwin.
