Qedit for Windows 4.6.07
Changes in Qedit for Windows 4.6.07
Navigation Features
There are several changes to the "Open Host" and "Directory" dialogs to make
it easier to:
- Change your current working directory
- Specify an OS-specific wildcard list for the list of
filenames (e.g., A@ for MPE users and a* for UNIX users).
Choose one of the following presentations to see how these changes work
together to make it easier for you to use Qedit for Windows:
If you want to immediately open a directory window to a specific MPE
group or account, use the "Open Host" dialog and specify the group and
account that you want to switch to in the Wildcard edit field. You
can also specify a list of files to select. In this example, we switch
to the QLIBSRC group of the ROBELLE account and select all files that
start with "c".
After you click on the Directory button, the server will switch the
current working directory to the QLIBSRC group. Only the files that
start with "c" will be in your directory listing:
If you want to immediately open a directory window to a specific UNIX
directory, use the "Open Host" dialog and specify the directory
that you want to switch to in the Filename edit field. You
can also specify a qualifier in the Wildcard edit file. In this example, we switch
to the /usr/robelle/data/prose directory and select all files that
start with "f".
After you click on the Directory button, the server will switch the
current working directory to the /usr/robelle/data/prose directory.
Only the files that
start with "f" will be in your directory listing:
